According to Keith Law Myers and Starling #5 and #14 prospects in baseball.

5. Wil Myers, RF/CF/3B, Kansas City Royals (age 21)
Current level: Triple-A (Omaha)
Preseason ranking: 13

I doubt Myers ends up at third base for the Royals, but there's nothing wrong with maintaining his flexibility and possible trade value. He'll hit enough to be an impact guy at any position.

14. Bubba Starling, CF, Kansas City Royals (age 19)
Current level: Extended spring training
Preseason ranking: 15

He was the hardest guy to rank on the list, as he still has huge tools but hasn't played yet this spring. It wasn't necessarily a bad decision by the Royals to take him fifth overall last June, but since he's nearly 20 I'd like to see him in games sometime soon

Starling is a big ?...but man the potential is sick.

All the pitchers were gone before their pick anyway

Jerm 05-27-2012 07:45 PM

Myers' possible trade value?

Moore would be idiotic to deal him...

He wouldn't get enough alone, pitching is such a ****ing premium that it takes alot

The Cubs are on a 12 game losing streak and their numbers have been worse than the Royals were during their 12 game losing streak.

Sure-Oz 05-27-2012 09:58 PM

Great to see Melky batting .369 ****

Sure-Oz 05-27-2012 09:59 PM

Cubs have LaHair, Garza and Dempster, thats it. Rizzo should be up soon but he's getting major gordon treatment by the fanbase, which sucks for him

I saw that today too and **** was the word I uttered as well. At least we have an injured and otherwise ineffective pitcher.

I have nothing against the Cubs but I'd like to see that streak double just because it's fun to watch that kind of fail... as long as it's not KC.

At the end of the year I want some other team to hold that longest losing streak of year crown.

That too.

Frenchie is starting to hit the ball. Get Perez & Cain back...you never know what could happen.
