1. Click the "trade from team". 2. Select the type of item. 3. Select the exact item, i.e. player or draft pick 4. Click the "trade to team" 5. Click the add transaction to trade button. Repeat this process until all the transactions are added to the trade. Finally hit the propose trade button. You might want to use PM to negotiate the trade before proposing to expedite things. |

Ok, new functionality.
You can release players from your roster using the "manage roster" screen found in the menu under your team name. That took about 2.5 hours to code, debug, and test, with just a couple of interruptions. Code was mostly borrowed from functionality elsewhere in the site. We are not yet enforcing 53 man rosters, but will after the rookie draft. Still folks might want to cut the deadwood from their roster to better evaluate their needs. |

Let me know, this is a lot of fun. |
quick coding issue - if i try to add a draft pick to a trade, it just ignores it and removes the 'dot' before i can tell it to add to the proposal.
EDIT: Yeah, having the same problem Carlos is having. It refreshes and won't let me make an offer for a pick this year. I can trade for next year's picks, but that's it. |

Okay, everyone has $1300 worth of salary points, visible on the standings page. You can't do anything with them yet, and won't really need to until after the rookie draft. Rain Man will be unveiling more about how we will use these over time.

I have a Gettysburg war game called Thunder at the Crossroads and whenever I played it the most striking thing was the level of casualties. Same thing with that B-17 game. I think all of us are struggling with the issue of fielding a legitimate starting team year-to-year, let alone having legitimate players at 53 positions.
The free agency system is going to add a whole new strategic dynamic to this game for adding talent in areas of need. |
I will trade DE (Cory Liuget, Justin Tuck, Antonio Smith, or William Hayes) for the following in order of preference:
RB talent (need a back with good production and 4+ YPC) WR talent (need a #2) interior LB Guards and right tackles PM me. |
