Wow...wearing your heart on your sleeve? I was trying to be nice because I know how sensitive you are about your little prima dona driver...but here goes.

He's a lightly talented wanna-be who is living off his Daddy's name. If his last name wasn't Earnhart he'd hardly pass muster for being a Nationwide driver. He hasn't done anything more that the 2nd level drivers and until he starts doing something more than wandering around trying to blame everyone but himself for not being a better driver, he's doomed to winning one race every 2 or 3 years.

Now go back to your playpen and come talk to me when you want to talk real NASCAR.

Jr. got a ride because of his dad, but he's got 18 wins. Those didn't come by accident, nor does it make him a second rate driver. In fact, it puts him 12th among active drivers if you don't include Elliot.

That is true and he is showing signs of being a factor again. He is driving the best equipment so it is expected. He should have taken this equipment to the winners circle a long time ago. He has been in the mix this year but just about any top 25 driver would fair well in that equipment IMO~

Referring to Dale Earnhardt Sr as Dead Dale is insulting IMO. As a long time fan of him and the sport I feel he deserves more respect than that~

One time I was reading a post by Dsnyfn, and almost zombie-like, I got up and walked outside and pissed all over a cat. It was strange.

LMAO

Nice surprising fact....you can actually read. I didn't think you had actually mastered that yet.

He's had 3 wins since 2004....and his 18 wins are in a span of 12 years. Compare that to Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards, Kurt Busch and that doesn't look some impressive.

But just for comparison's sake, Smoke started the same year as Little E and he has 39 wins in that same time frame.

Sounds like the peace pipe to me...

Anyway, I had this all written up so:

Here's what I think about Dale Earnhardt Jr. He has talent for sure; you don't win 18 races with none. He's not a hack, at all. But Michael Waltrip won some races at DEI, too. Is he better than Mikey?

Yes, I'll grant that Dale Jr. is better than Michael Waltrip.

He's done jack and shit, results-wise, with Hendrick, supposedly the best stuff money can buy. But in his defense, there seems always to have been a Hendrick car that's lacking. Kenny Schrader, Ricky Craven, Brian Vickers come to mind. (All in the #25, which is coincidentally or not, even through all the twists and turns of passing years and crew/driver swapping, essentially the 88 car today)

Junior just doesn't seem to be the kind of driver who can raise the level of the car he's in. He can run with any of 'em in a good car, but if the car ain't just right, he ain't competitive. It's not through lack of effort. I just don't think he has that...thing that the great ones had/have, the ability to get that car where it needs to be through sheer talent and will. On the other hand, though, maybe today's car is such that few (or no) drivers can do that anymore. I don't know.

I'd say if the guy's last name wasn't Earnhardt, he'd be...Martin Truex, Jr.

Or Greg Biffle.

Which is exactly what I said...only you are being a little kinder.

He doesn't have the killer instinct.

Yeah, but I was thinking more along the lines of a guy who'd just wheel the hell out of that car even if it wasn't just right. His dad could do it; Cale could. To a lesser extent, even Kyle Busch today.

EDIT: Of course, comparing Junior to alltime greats like Dale Sr. and Yarborough is a little unfair.

This is by far the dumbest thing I have ever read.

So lets see, how many noteworthy NASCAR CHAMPIONSHIPS has your driver won in Cup and Nationwide?

Yeah, your driver has killer instincts -- Too bad it shows up against the other drivers including his teammates when he's trying to kill them and the people in the grandstands. Remind me. How many spectators did he send to the hospital? Smart boy, you root for.

You don't have to be kind -- In this thread, I'm a NASCAR fan. Not a football fan. Big difference... http://planetsmilies.net/not-tagged-smiley-14836.gif

David Pearson was second to Dale Earnhardt, Sr. Considering their respective roles at different stages, Earnhardt was the best of the best. Love him or hate him, he made following Nascar irresistible.

I'm going to go brush my hair.

Behave yourselves...

Peace and Love,

D.
