I disagree with this statement.

While Alex Smith is most certainly not "Elite" or a "Franchise QB", he's better than average. He's far better than Cassel and he's better than Kyle Orton.

Orton won games for the Chiefs without Berry, Moeaki and Charles, with the support of the worst coaching staff in all of football.

Alex Smith won't likely win a Super Bowl for the Chiefs, but unless he falls off a cliff on the way to KC, he's markedly better than Cassel.

If Marty was our coach, then Alex Smith would be a very acceptable upgrade. If you play Martyball, he can play effective enough to win games. But we are talking about an Andy Reid throw it around the field offense. He failed in SF when he had to play like that.

No, they were not.

Dorsey was a scout beginning in 1991. He became Director of College Scouting in 1997.

Brunnel was drafted in 1993, Aaron Brooks in 1999, Matt Flynn in 2008 and so on.

Now, how much say that Dorsey had in those decisions is definitely open for discussion.

Milkman was wrong.

None of those guys were drafted before Dorsey was a scout.

Is that why you advocated for Smith in 2008?

At that point, we didn't know that Smith would become a totally worthless bum.

It'll be interesting to see how well he plays under Reid, Pederson, etc. but he's definitely an upgrade over Matt Cassel.

This remains to be seen. I'd love to see Alex Smith throw 27 TDs. Really. That'd be a hoot!

LMAO

Right.

He'd only been in the league as a starter for four years in 2008 and enjoyed none of the success he's had the past two seasons.

LMAO

You're ****ing funny.

I advocated for Smith based on the fact we needed a replacement for Brodie Croyle.

That ship has sailed.

Oh **** a Randy Moss connection too. It's like the Lincoln and Kennedy shootings. It's just 4 years apart instead of around a 100.
