So if I am one of "those people" sorry to you sir

really? It's no problem really. I am guess I am in the minority on that. I remember Orton with Chicago where he was pretty bad, and Young with Texas where he was completly unstopable.

I for one was excited when the broncos got rid of cutler for orton.

We desperately need to come up with a vet. QB. Bitch all we want about Cassel, but we're an injury away from the season being a lost cause.

Not saying they're playing a 43 exclusively, just that they're not playing a 34 exclusively either.

I think they've always done that under Belichick. Or at least I remember in the rapidly-becoming-distant-past Seymour moving around the front from 3-4 end to tackle a good bit.

Either way it seems like a very risky move to me...

Yeah, I remember when Timmy Chang was unstoppable at Hawaii.

Good times.

I wouldn't mind Shaun Hill if he is available. I don't know his contract situation, but I can't see him back in Detroit as the 3rd QB now.

And "winning without stars". The BeliBible says so! It's a chapter in fact.

As one scout said in appraising the Patriots drafting of Ryan Mallett -- (paraphrased): great pick for them. Their locker room can handle it. We couldn't take a chance on him with ours.

The Chiefs' ability to bring in highly talented potential problem children will be directly related to Pioli's assessment of the team's ability to "handle them". The problem being that it can explode in your face if your team decides that they want to follow such problem children, rather than keep them in line.

Kansas City Chiefs third-round DE Allen Bailey's rookie deal done: $2.67 million total value, bonus is nearly $556,000.

Quick, someone remind him what Priest did when he came to KC.

According to Mike Reiss, they only ran the 3-4 base 40% of the time last year. They ran the various sub packages 57% of the time (short yardage was the other 3%).

The Patriots are known as a 3-4 defense, but that's not what they played in the majority of their snaps. In fact, it wasn't even close. Of 1,101 defensive plays charted by ESPNBoston.com (including some penalties and 2-point conversions), the Patriots were in a sub package 628 times. That's a 57 percent clip. Meanwhile, the defense was in a base 3-4 alignment 441 times (40 percent) and short-yardage personnel on 32 snaps (3 percent)."]The Patriots are known as a 3-4 defense, but that's not what they played in the majority of their snaps.
