Almost Famous
(but more so, Untitled) was amazing. Red Dog, Lester Bangs, Penny Lane (and all the other groupies) were real people, William is Cameron Crowe, Dennis Hope is a slightly exaggerated Irving Azoff, and the rest of the band is an amalgam of the Eagles and Peter Frampton's tenure in Humble Pie (with Crudup playing Frampton but looking like Glen Frey).

Yea, the Untitled version of Almost Famous is amazing.
