Sounds dumb. I thought it had to be an onion article too.

Pitt Gorilla 01-07-2013 12:13 PM

I'm still assuming this is an Onion article.

alnorth 01-07-2013 12:16 PM

In case anyone mistakes royals review for real media this was a lame attempt at humor.

Yeah, it's complete satire. Read Yost's quote in the article. My agency does PR consulting for these guys. If Ned had actually said that, our crisis management department would be running around screaming right now. They're not. It's fake.

Lex Luthor 01-07-2013 12:19 PM

I like it!

Fire Me Boy! 01-07-2013 12:23 PM

Anything other than "We win more than 12 percent of our games" is a marketing fail.

CHENZ A! 01-07-2013 12:27 PM

Well it's not really that funny either ...

Stewie 01-07-2013 12:46 PM

LMAO

A source within the club indicated that runners up for the slogan included, The Glassman Cometh, The Fighting Francoeurs, 162 Shades of Grit, and Winning is Harder than You Think.

"Play good baseball"

It is. People from my office called them to confirm. In a panic.

KChiefs1 01-07-2013 02:53 PM

So they are actually admitting they weren't trying before?
