Sorry to hear that dude, she sounds like a great dog.

Thanks, she really was. She was our first pet that we got together. Although I've had and lost other pets, this one hurts a lot.

It's never easy, bro. I've said it before, I have an 8 year old Jack Russell and I am not looking forward to the day. I have no kids, and this is my first dog. It makes me sad every time I read one of these threads.

Exactly this. My wife and I have no children, so our dogs are our pride and joy. I wouldn't trade a minute of the memories we'll have from them to avoid the sorrow we're bound to have in just a few short years.

RIP to your pup, Flachief58 and prayers for you to cope with your loss.

Sorry man. It's going to be a rough time for a while. Hang in there.

Sorry for your loss.

I'm looking out my office window at the spot in the yard our dog took her last breath on Tuesday night. It's tough, man.

Hang in there, and remember the good times.

Sorry bud. It sucks that dogs don't live 80 years.

Toadkiller 12-15-2012 11:13 AM

Sorry to hear it. We had to put down our dog this year, was rough. Thoughts are with you.

Thanks again everyone. Shes at the crematory now, we can pick her up on tuesday. We still have 2 more dogs who are 13 and 14. I don't think we will be getting any more dogs for awhile once they are gone but, who knows for sure.

I never thought that the death of a pet would be so hard. I guess it's true that pets are family members whom you develop true feelings for (even moreso than a lot of people I've met)

Condolences to you who've lost your best friend.

Pets are definitely members of the family. Those feeling are real. And so is the pain of your loss. Been there done that. Sorry for your loss.

Sucks man. Sorry to hear that.

This is the worst thing that can happen to a person other than having to make that decision yourself.

Give another pup a chance to light up your life, Annabelle would be proud you are helping another pup be truly happy.

Mr. Plow 12-15-2012 01:27 PM

Ugh. Sorry for your loss. I'm ready for some happy stuff around here.
