After he recovers from his bruises, maybe you can start on a new costume for him.

It is my belief that Tackle Me Elmo would play well at Arrowhead.

Elvis has NOT left the building

Lzen 10-06-2004 11:01 AM

Glad to hear Stevie's OK. Get well, bro.

I'll bet this wasn't an accident, either. I'll bet that the Scooby Van was sabotaged by some guy who wanted to take control of an amusement park and was pretending to be a ghost.

Everything would have been fine if it weren't for those meddling kids.

Glad to hear he's OK

Dang!... Coulda been one less vote for Bush. :hmmm: ...
Just kidding. ;) I'm glad he's OK.

Thank goodness that FDE is alive to fight another day!!

Does anyone else think that Jazzzlovr or Slayer might
have had something to do with this?

And he'd have gotten away with it too if it hadn't been for those meddling kids..

Here's the funny part...

When he got into the trooper's car to follow the van off the highway, the trooper asked him,

"Anybody ever tell you that you look like Elvis?"

That is no lie...

We're home now but getting ready to go to where they towed the van to. There's paint spilled all in the inside (go figure) and we have to start clearing it out, pulling speakers/stereo, rims, etc. The accident was not his fault and the van was in very good condition so who knows what that means...I know it's not replaceable though. Stevo was moving pretty good when I picked him up but he's starting to get a little stiff and uncomfortable. Thanks for all the kind words.

Dammit. Too slow..

So was the other driver insured? Or did he even stop?

Phobia 10-06-2004 11:07 AM

Sure - EVERYBODY's a victim. Sack up, TackleMeElmo. The sun will come out tomorrow.

Glad to hear that you're OK, FDE. Don't pig out too much while you're laid-up. You could become CTE.

PastorMikH 10-06-2004 11:15 AM

As for the van, you might seek legal counsel on that. It is old enough to be considered an antique and with the shape it was in, it may actually have more value than what one would initially think.

I had a wreck back in 91. I was driving an old datsun pickup (it was 20 years old and in really good shape) and was rear ended. The lady's insurance company tried to total it and give me a few hundred bucks for it. I held off and argued with them. I ended up keeping the truck, fixing it, and putting more cash in my pocket afterwards than they initially offered.

BTW, I'll second Phobia's motion for an First Down Elmo suit.
