He's an outstanding musician as well. My bro-in-law used to play in his band.

Statlers, Oak Ridge Boys, you name it.

Actually, my favorite area of the country genre is bluegrass/folk, Allison Krauss and Union Station, Ralph Stanley, Emmylou, The Gaithers, Cowboy Junkies, Del McCoury, etc.

Alison Krauss.....now you're making me drool!!!!!!! I love her voice.....

Although she is not quite an "undiscovered talent" anymore, I still think she is the most under rated female country singer around.

She does a duet with Brad Paisley now called "Whiskey Lullaby' that is absolutely a killer.

Let's hear it for Beer Me!

Sounds like he has good taste in music.

Don't forget Hank! (Sr of course)

So....let's test your country knowledge.

The Statler Brother's were a backup for what country legend before they set out on their own?

Alison is a great voice, and a great subdued beauty. But the band they've put together. . . MarthaFocker, they are good. If you get the chance, check out their Live DVD.

Ron Block - kick ass
Jerry Douglass - kick ass
Barry Bales - double kick ass with a shot of espresso
Dan Tyminski - the coupe de grace. Best country guitar out there, best country voice. For those unaware, Dan provided the singing voice for Dr. Ross's character on O Brother Where Art Thou.
