I must say that I liked the older style soda machines a lot. When I was a little kid, the small towns still had those old chest-type machines where the sodas were under chilled water and you had to soak your hand to get them out.

The machines with the bottles lined up at you from little portholes always scared me, though. The metal and glass made so much noise that I was always sure that the bottle was going to break as I pulled it out.
