You may have a point there. However, it's f**king STUPID for an NFL player to go into any bars at all, because they are just walking right into trouble. Once an NFL player goes into a bar, chances are that someone is going to recongize him, and will try to come up with a plan to start shit, and end up winning a lawsuit aganist that NFL player.

Coach Vermeil better get the team together and tell them straight up, that this shit has GOT TO STOP.

I don't know coach. If I ever got worked over by a kicker, not only would I not file a lawsuit, but would hide out in the basement and never show my face in public again.

Heh, you have a point there. However, there is always the possibility of re-locating, and getting your name changed.

Yeah, I'm sure NFL players just stop going to bars. Yeah, uh-huh, not bloody likely.

Drunk: "Great game out there Lin"
Tynes: "My name's not Lin, it's Lawerence"
Drunk: "Ok Lin, whatever, but let me tell ya..."

Isn't he supposed to be in bed by 11PM?

I sure the ***** wouldn't pick a fight with an NFL kicker in a bar- I'd be a little nervous about that foot coming up between my legs at full speed. Of course, if it was Lin Elliot- he'd miss

I fully expected to open this thread and read that Larry had tried to kick a guy in the nuts and missed.

Chiefs kicker is suspect in bar fight

BRIEFING: HUDSON, WIS.

River Falls police are investigating an altercation Sunday morning at a downtown bar involving Lawrence J. Tynes, kicker with the Kansas City Chiefs.

According to the department's records, 27-year-old Tynes is a suspect in a battery that took place at Boomer's Bar on Elm Street at about 1 a.m. Sunday. River Falls authorities declined Tuesday to release details on the episode.

Chiefs representative Bob Moore said that nothing happened Sunday morning that warrants an official comment. "It's my understanding that there were no arrests involved," he said.

Ted Roughton, owner of Boomer's Bar, would not talk about Sunday morning's events but did say that players and fans often mingle in his tavern.

In a separate incident, two other Chiefs players, Saou-saolii Siavii Jr. and Gregory Wesley, were arrested the same morning on suspicion of disorderly conduct in a Minneapolis hotel. Siavii, a defensive tackle, and Wesley, a safety, were taken to the Hennepin County jail and released later Sunday.

The Chiefs are in River Falls for their 15th annual training camp, held at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

And hopefully their last trip to River Falls.

Was Gunther there?

Was Tynes wearing a sleeveless T-shirt?

I don't think it's very likely they'll be moving TC elswhere in the near future, since UWEF and the state jsut spent so much money to upgrade the facilities for the Chiefs.

While he might be struggling to consistently kick FGs, he apparently can kick ass.
