Scared? No. They should have the worst defense in the NFL by a wide margin, and nomatter who they run out there as receivers, Collins hasn't shown he's the kind of QB who can carry a team. If they had a dominant defense, and could ask him to go the Marty "don't screw up"/limit the turnovers route, it might work, but they're going to have to try to win on his arm. And he should rack up some numbers doing it, but he'll also turn the ball over. A lot.
But, regardless, you don't take any NFL team lightly, and a division foe less so. |
They are going to have a killer offense and no defense. We should know as well as anyone that that can lead to victory or loss. I hope we can sweep them but I would certainly not bet on it.

I forgot the Norv Turner factor, too. He's another in a seemingly endless string of "good coordinators who became bad head coaches". He was bad in Washington, and I don't think he'll be any better in Oakland.

I like to think one drive they had against the Texans was indicative of how their season will go.
Collins drove them down the field, hitting open receivers again and again and again. Then they got into third and long and he forced a pass to Randy Moss at the goalline and it was intercepted. |
ROFL Lots of chest beating. The defense is not as bad as some think and the offense will score points. I am not boasting big talk, but I am sure they will better than alot on this thread think.

Norv Turner
That is all. |

Do you think moving Warren Sapp inside is suddenly going to make him better? Since he'll be facing a pro bowl guard he's probably going to get dominated even worse. The same goes for your slow ass linebackers. None of them can cover Tony Gonzalez. |
54 - 70
what do these numbers mean? oh that is the win/loss total for Norv. |

"All four (AFCW) teams will have offenses that can put up big numbers. The best of those offenses will be in Oakland, but do the Raiderz have enough on defense to win the division? We realize the defense struggled last season, but there is talent on that side of the ball, enough to show improvement. And with that offense, only a slight improvement will give the Raiderz the title in a tough, competitive division." http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/8787682 |
