I don't much care for him as HC. But he could be a viable coach on an NFL staff.

Is that too much to ask?

Well, if that happens, I hope Al will at least let Gunther hire some of his OWN coaches. I think if GUN had some of his own guys, his scheme would have been more effective a lot sooner. But thats just me.

You somehow believe Ron Jaworski is somehow going to make our offense even better than Al Saunder's offense?

Are you serious?

Agreed, plus I envision Saunders being the type of head coach to promote someone from the current staff and keep the call playing duties himself.

Actually I was envisioning him being Saunders' OC.

I'd rather pull Weis away from ND for the head coaching position than taking Jaws as the OC when Saunders becomes the head coach.

I see, however, many OCs when they become HCs do not have Offensive Coordinators. I think you are right about Jaworski's attributes, but I don't know if he knows anythig about coaching.

I think the way he's talkative (hence the nickname Jaws) he invites you to listen. That, combined with his obvious knowledge of the game, would keep the players under him interested and motivated. I think he displays coaching talent, albeit without the experience.

When I was a betting man, he was the only media whore I would listen to, and he made me pretty successfull. He definitely knows his stuff.

It is a great fantasy, but as others have mentioned here and other times this has come up:

Why in the world would he leave the fantastic job he has now to:

a) work 80 hrs a week
b) get less recognition
c) risk failure
d) make less money

Unless he has some buring desire to get back into the competitive realm, there is zero motivation for him to leave the talking head position he has now. And if he had that burning desire, it is quite likely he would already be coaching now.

This whole thread is based on that assumption. I would say if he would ever coach, it would be with the Chiefs or the Eagles. He seems to like us a lot.
