The league has been seriously trying to remove fighting from hockey, ever since that dumbass Disney movie came out there have been parents complaining that it's not a "clean family sport".

If you want to see some good fights, just google Bob Probert fight video. That man was a legend.

your options are limited when ur on ice and padded up. there are understood rules to fighting in hockey.
