Well, with the fact that every kid under 8 needs a car seat, maybe you can explain what people are supposed to drive? You can't fit 4 car seats side by side in any vehicle that I know of.

Of course I don't think there is a real shortage either, I see so many gas stations just running out of fuel all the time. A lot of the price right now is fear driven, not actual supply and demand.

We're not running out because we're willing to pay more than the other guys.

Here's my new campaign:

Don't be fooled. You can put more people in a mini van easier than you can a f**king SUV and they typically get much better milage. An SUV is a vanity vehicle for 90% of the people that own them. There are a few who actually take them off road. And no Sally, backing over the flowerbed because you have no clue where your vehicle is isn't off roading.

Agreed. I have a mini-van that I will be downsizing to a 4 door sedan at replacement time just to up the mileage there.

But, mini-vans aren't COOL. They're just more efficient, fit in the average garage, are easier to drive & park, and are much safer for other drivers on the road. The heck with all that though, I NEED TO BE COOL! GIMME MY CANYONERO!

Minivans will not pull a boat, they are front wheel drive people haulers.

So you're burning up extra gas for recreational use (the boat) as well as driving an SUV full time because of that recreational use. You're your own worst problem.

I can tell you with certainty that govt. is not what makes this country great.

Yeah, all that and we are still the most powerful country on earth. We could widen the gap between us and second place if we could get the drunks, dimwits and liars out of government. But when it takes millions of dollars to get elected President for the 400,000 per year (or whatever it pays now) you ain't gonna get somebody honest. You're gonna get somebody's stooge. That's why I quit voting 20 years ago. I used to believe in this system just like these young Planet members do. Now I just laugh at them as we spirit them off to DC. I will guarantee you they will be even more jaded than I am when they reach my age of 61.

I'm 36 and really wonder why I bother voting anymore. We haven't had anyone worth voting for since I became of voting age. :shake:

I wish this was rocket science. At least then I could explain away why our entire country is having such a huge problem figuring this out.

So what you're saying is that me filling half my tank twice a week instead of all the way once a week isn't going to bring the oil industry to its knees?

Can you put this in picture or something, because I'm having problems grasping this concept.
