looks like a good place for a gratuitous post!

He's my favorite Chief. Soooo underrated it's crazy. What he's accomplished with no WR's is unbelievable. And that tackle he made last year after throwing a pick - priceless!
|
his arm strength is not near the top of nfl qbs, and yes, his forty time isn't anything to rave about. thankfully for us, there's more to playing qb than throwing the ball or scrambling. don't get me wrong, aside from peyton manning, and possibly tom brady there's no one i'd want leading this team. even that would be a dificult choice between the three. but look at peyton or carson palmer's arm strength compared to trent's. or michal vick's ability to run with the ball. (speaking of vick, why do they always show the one play he did something against the chiefs in highlight reals?)
green's intelligence and toughness are what set him apart from other qb's. remember a couple years ago when he finsihed the season on a broken foot or something? how many times have you seen him lead block on a reverse? when he runs with the ball, do you hold your breathe waiting for a magnificant play <ala vick> or do you hold your breathe in hopes a monster LB dosen't tee off on a slow moving target? |

Honestly, given equal receivers, I wouldn't trade Trent for anybody. I saw him when he played for Washington and thought, "Who is this guy?" The Chiefs is the first place he got a chance. He would have been great in St. Louis and a Franchise guy if Harrison hadn't cheap shotted him.
