It seems to me it should be mandatory to be able to name all of our country's past presidents. Is that asking too much?

It came up in conversation with one of the receivers I deal with, and he didn't know the correct answer.

So, as I continued through my day, I asked others, and the only person to get it right was a naturalized citizen.

Are we, as a society, really this ignorant?

We haven't gone past 50 yet, have we? I'm a little behind on my current events.

1:30am on the east now. Dang, this is exciting.

I'd fail. I can tell you all fifty states, and where they're at. I guess that would be considered geography, though. Never was big on history. Teachers I had sucked, though.

I'm fairly certain that if a state had been added since '58(?), that would be pretty big news.

Out of your list, my 11 yr old son knew who Jimmy Carter, Rosa Parks, Hitler, Dante Hall and Mozart are and had heard of Ted Nugent but couldn't tell me who he was. You work with a bunch of idiots.

It is a younger crowd-but older folks are just as dumb. Me and friend were talking about the rise and fall of Communism and this lady did not know what it was. :shake:
