One only has to look at all the fuckups caused by team doctors that could be considered blatant malpractice in the past as proof of that.

As a season ticket holder (aka real fan) , you are the LAST kind of person that Carl Peterson wants to know Green might not come back. Carl will always obfuscate the truth for the betterment of his and Lamar's bottom line. This is just like the Priest situation, Carl is putting a happy face on a big pile of dogshit so people will remain upbeat about his sinking ship that should have sailed 3 years ago.

ROFL

So not only is your friend privy to what the doctors say, but he's also privy to the family's feelings?

Even if he returns, which I predicted the day he went down that he was finished for good, then he will not play for long if he suffers another grade 3 concussion. I doubt there would be a doctor who would clear him to play if he has another G3 concussion.

I just hope he is okay and we don't have another DT situation where we are just worried that he is going to play again, then bam he takes a bad turn. Bleeding in the brain is not a good situation-I hope they don't have to operate on him??

After the whole Willie Roaf debacle, I really don't think Trent would intentionally deceive anyone about the extent of his injuries. He seemed ticked like a lot of other players that Willie didn't talk to anyone and then just pulled a surprise announcement all of the sudden. If he says he expects to come back, then I believe him.

Also, if your friend's mother is a nurse, she is putting her job and license in jeapordy by sharing medical info she learned about a patient.

Nobody said he didn't want to play-I think he would play til he is 50 if they would let him.

She told her son because he is a big TG fan-and he told me in confidence-but medical conditions of patients SLIP out all the time without anyone being held accountable. Hell I found my Grandmothers charts sitting in the lunch area at the hospitol.

MRI's do not pick up everything-just ask my aunt who is dealing with cancer. And this was just this week that TG was still having problems. I hope he bounces back-but I really don't think he will.

Alright. I've had my entertainment for the night and must go to bed because I have to get up early in the morning to drive to Kansas City to see my brother-in-law and stay the night with him. I'll be certain to ask him what rumors he's heard as well.

the Talking Can 09-29-2006 10:20 PM

how about changing the tread title to "shit I'm just making up"....

His Mom has overheard several conversations concerning future problems and risks-it could even be a life or death situation if he lands on the back of his head again. Do you really think his family wants him to risk it over football??

Ultimately it will be up to TG-its his life-his body-he has to decide if it is worth being paralyzed.

The whole point of this was to say-TG was hurt WAY worse than what they are saying-and I believe that part of it. As far as posting that he is absolutely going to hang it up-I will leave that up to you guys-just passing on the gossip.

Oh no!

NewChief is becoming disturbed by the chicken little rumors!

We're Gloomed!

To be clear, I'm making fun of this chicken little rumor, not you NC.

TG would never deceive anyone-and I think from day one he expected to come back-but when you look at how long it has taken him to just drive to the stadium and say hi to the guys-it was a pretty bad injury.
