No freaking way does a 10-6 get left out two years in a row, but I still think we will go 11-5.

You guys were saying 12-4 last week. Chiefs will finish at 10-6 best. Probably lose 2 games to one of the following SD, DEN, OAK, BALT, JAX. Chef fans might be the biggest homers on the planet and they must not remember last week. Your guys answer about getting green back now this team had same loss at Buffalo last year.

5-2 works IF 4 of those wins come in our own division.

sweep raiders
beat san diego
beat denver

denver beats san diego

2nd place in the division

Good one Logical. Your very observant. I believe there is a chance we can get in the playoffs at 10-6, but it will depend on a lot of other teams imploding. the bigger point is that teams not winning at least 11 games don't get very far during the playoffs. I believe there has been 1 or 2 teams that made the Super Bowl who won less than 11 games. I don't believe any team won a World Championship with less than 11 games won.

The theory is you are not very good if you don't win 11 or more.

Based on this we will probably have to wait until next year to achieve this.

Oftentimes, the second half of the season is the most important half. And, a lot can happen over the course of the next two months. I wish our bye week had come a little later, but pookie glub on that.

We have injury problems, sure. We have a semi-controversy at the QB position, okay. We have a bunch of knuckleheads running our offense, accepted. We have problems winning on the road against miserable teams, given.

But, the fact is we have LJ and Ja-red and lots and lots of nutty posters. If they can't get us into the playoffs, no one can.

I think 5-2 will get us in.

I'm gonna get screwed no matter what when my wife gets home, either she will put the screws to me about what I did all day, or she will go to bed early with a headache leaving me the dishes, or she'll do the dishes,. be in a good mood, and screw me the other way. Every day I am screwed, no matter what.

Although, I think you are right about the same kind of loss. This Miami game will come back to haunt the Chiefs just like that Buffalo game. But I think there are some extenuating circumstances there. That was the second game after Green lost his father. I'm of the belief that Green was grieving to the point of also having lost his focus. He threw some really bone-headed passes in that first half. Green rarely throws those. His concentration was so far gone, I wanted Collins to start the second half of that game. As I remember Green's first pass in the second half was intercepted making it his third one.

Yes Green lost that game that day and it was that game that basically spoiled the Chiefs' season. But I put more onus on Vermeil, though, for staying with Green who obviously was torn to the point of having so much else on his mind. That scenario was the perfect definition for when to go to your backup and IMO Vermeil screwed that one up.

But there is no doubt about who should be leading this team into the most critical games. Trent Green is far more experienced with this offense. He's into his second and third read before Huard decides he shouldn't throw to his first.
