It has been hard to even bring myself to post on this subject, but for several reasons, it has not bothered me quite as much as the DT passing. That tore my ass up. I think we can find comfort in a many things with Lamar. He lived a long wonderful life and made so many contributions to the world. KC has now lost two fantastic owners, RIP Lamar.

Sorry for the psuedo-spam (but Phil would probably be along to do it anyway ;))...

WPI has set up a forum just for discussion about Lamar. There are some nice comments from opposing fans in the thread stickied at the top.

I cried a little when reading comments from all the people about him.

The articles that include the discussion about Pappy starting a team if there isn't already one in heaven kind of get to Bob Dole a little.

Yeah, that one got me, too, Mr. Bob Dole.

I guess you can revoke my retrosexual license.

Maybe "get to" wasn't the right phrase to use.

It just made Bob Dole open a beer and go change the plugs in the car.

Man that game against the Jags on New Years Eve is going to be tough. Glad I have tickets for it, it will be tough though.

Well, to be honest, I may have exaggerated a little, too, Mr. Bob Dole.

I read that article while I was strangling a kitten with one hand and fingerbanging my secretary with the other.

OK, "cried" was probably too strong a word.

"Mainline heroin" is closer to the truth.

That is exactly how I have been feeling all day as well. My eyes well up everytime they start talking about Lamar. Stevie put it right, it is like losing a grandfather.

What.... Lamar Hunt is gone? He's departed? If so.... all Raider flags at half staff for an icon of the NFL...

Coach 12-14-2006 09:10 PM

It also made me look up Stram's passing as well, and the reactions on the board. Almost a year and 6 months apart between Lamars and Hanks'.
