Yes --- I'd take him... He's got 3 maybe 4 years left if he can stay healthy... We need someone with a fricking attitude on this team... |

we've tried everything else...might as well. He's light years better than anyone we have at dt..

Only if he's cheap.

I think he'd take a pay cut just to get out of Oakland... He's not happy at all --- and I'll make this my New Year prediction --- SAPP WILL NOT be a Raider next year... I don't know where he'll be --- but it won't be in a Raider uniform... |

He's got one, maybe two years left, if that. He'd be just another in a long line of short term solutions to long term problems. And that, again, is why this team has been stuck in this same hole for years. |
We don't need Sapp, we already have a Sapp on this team. Besides, we have James Reed.

Your right though -- we just seem to step back to the oldtimers... Hopefully Clark won't allow Carl to sign anymore grandpa's of the NFL... |
A couple of notes of interest, or at least of polite nodding non-interest.
1. Sapp went over and talked to Herm at least twice during the game. Did anyone else have flashbacks of Chester McGlockton talking to Marty about 10 years ago during a game and asking Marty to sign him? 2. The Raiders have three chunky defensive tackles: Sapp, Sands, and Tommy Kelly. While I like Casey Wiegman's mobility, those three guys alternated pushing Casey into the backfield on almost every play. He simply can't hold up against a big fat guy who can push. |

Sapp's game relies on athleticism and quickness. |
