Bob Dole was so shitfaced by the second half kickoff that the rest of the weekend is pretty blurry.

I cashed in the $100 bet that I put down on the Colts. I wish I had lost the bet. :(

My expectations for this game was low to start with..... actually got on here and watched everybody bitch about it and laughed my ass off over who was to get the blame...........
We all have know we were getting old on the OL, bad WR's and the draft picks haven't stepped up yet...... Sad part is now Herm wants to revamp the whole offense, new scheme. Hello another 2 years of poor offense....... BTW, I called this shot after the game, saying Herm will probally have a new scheme in place next year. Herm is a West Coast offense guy ........... |
Seriously, I was over the game an hour or so after the final whistle.
My meltdown moment came on the missed FG. What's funny is that when Lin Tynes shanked that gimme I let loose with a Dresden of F-bombs, screaming at the top of my lungs for probably 20 seconds -- and then remembered that there was a children's birthday party going on in the backyard next door, and there was nothing more than my screen door to filter the outburst. As I was closing the sliding glass door, I was thinking: Either they think I'm beating my wife, or they think I'm a drunken, profane jerk. Or both. When my wife went over to collect our young'un, I asked her to please apologize to the neighbors for me. She did, but she said the hostess just stared at her blankly and said "we didn't hear anything with all the noise from the kids." I hope she was telling the truth and not just being polite. |
ROFL ROFL ROFL

The missed FG was my meltdown moment as well. I threw my drink (1/4 full diet pop from Wendy's) at the door.
The good thing about diet pop is that it doesn't get sticky when it dries. Still, that was quite a mess to clean up. |
I accepted our fate after the second pick. After the game I went out side with my brother to smoke the "victory" cigars I had bought. I spent the rest of the night in my room watching DVDs and avoiding this place. I actually took it pretty well, which surprises me. But I didn't watch a single snap of football yesterday, I don't even know how the games turned out. I guess I'll suck it up and watch the NC game tonight.

The O sucked so bad I never even really got a chance to get too worked up. Well when Green started the 2nd half I have to admit I went off a little about that. Moving on, bring on the Lakers.

Drank alot of beer, tried to tell myself it's just a game, tried really hard.
Got on the treadmill in my underwear and ran for 20 mins. (I know the visual is bad, and you haven't even ever seen me) It's hard to do piss drunk. Watched KU have pretty good game, didn't see the end, but surly they won. I'm more of an MU fan, but the hawks are entertaining, and the rush connection helps. I finally got on Chiefsplanet and vented with others, but it's not enough. I'm at work now and don't feel like doing anything. I didn't even watch the other games. My step dad called to rub it in my face, but since he's a donkey fan I was able to throw a little back at him, still not enough. I have to do something and soon to get the rest of this out of my system. any suggestions? Where's thepascalplaze at, I need someone to abuse. |
I cursed enough at the missed FG, the wife growled at me, and my response got myself in trouble and the child removed from the room.
It wasn't long after that, that I accepted what I knew was going to happen, reminded myself of what I'd decided after the Cleveland game, watched the rest of the game in frustration, intermingled by short lived hope...... and then read to the kid. that was better use of my time than spending alot of time here, getting even more pissed off. |

I didn't meltdown at the botched kick, I half expected it. Tynes is money on the long distance clutch kicks, but has had a few misses on the easy kicks. I was horrified at what I saw, but surprised. The only thing I threw was my hat at the floor as hard as I could towards the end. I think it might have been the second pick, screaming about the lack of protectection Green was getting. |

I was screaming the same thing.. They should of put in Huard, He doesnt need protection... |
I resigned myself to the "Same Old Chiefs". If they ever win a SuperBowl in my lifetime it will be a shock.
I feel like Cubs fans must feel. |

Well, in my defense, I wouldn't say that to just anyone. This gal is only a ring and some sex away from being my other wife so I can talk to her like that once in a while. She didn't take too much offense but the point was made. :) |

Oh yes, the all wonderful, all amazing Huard is so god-like he can play with out an OLine! Give it up already, Huard had his fair share of fumbles from holding on to the ball too long as well. He is NOT the almighty saviour some of you have him pegged as. But I'm not getting back into the argument, the season is over, I'm finished with this disturbing obsession that is plaguing this place. You all can tell yourselves that Huard would have made a difference if it makes you feel better and ignore the fact that piss poor game planning and a case of drops from the WR corps would have left him looking no fucking better than Green the other night. |
