Isn't it also based on position, or am I on something?

I don't think the min is based on postion, that comes in with their negotiations,

but I am not an expert on this topic, just throwing out my 2cents.

good question.

You're thinking of franchise tag compensation.

They won't get paid much of anything unless they make the team. They're paid a per diem for days they're in camp. Their salary is void if they don't make the 53 man roster.

Chiefs Announce Allocations of five Players to NFL Europa
Feb 12, 2007, 11:45:39 AM

Kansas City Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Monday that the club has allocated five players to NFL Europa for the 2007 season. That list is highlighted by two players that saw time on the Chiefs active roster in 2006 – RB Derrick Ross and G Tre Stallings. Other 2007 NFL Europa allocations include: G Rob Hunt, QB Omar Jacobs and LB Nick Reid.

NFL Europa clubs play a 10-game regular season schedule that kicks off on the weekend of April 14th. The top two teams in the standings will play in World Bowl XV on Saturday, June 23rd at Commerzbank-Arena in Frankfurt, Germany.

For Kansas City, the NFLEL has served as a springboard to NFL success for a number of players, including Pro Bowlers WR Dante Hall (Scotland, 2001), LB Gary Stills (Frankfurt, 2001) and G Brian Waters (Berlin, 2000), as well as other starters such as LB Mike Maslowski (Barcelona, 1999) and K Lawrence Tynes (Scotland, 2002).

Can anyone shed some light on why Nick Reid hasnt materialized into a freakin stud yet? Hopefully that isnt a dumb question with an obvious answer.......but I remember watching that kid play roughly 3 games at Kansas, and he was all over the field ALL THE TIME.

Ohio State had AJ Hawk at the time, and I thought they were both pretty comparable.......and AJ had a great rookie year at GB with not much help.

My understanding is that while Reid is pretty smart, his speed was pretty limited to the college game. I seem to remember Edwards saying last year that he was pretty slow, but he's smart, so that will help him. It just means that he will have a harder time getting to the field.

Redrum_69 02-12-2007 01:22 PM

Nick Reid is a one dimensional player.....

Redrum_69 02-12-2007 01:25 PM

Not to hijack this thread...but i have a question for FAX and Rain Man

Why is it that the Skittles Corp. packages their skittles with 13 each...of the strawberry, orange, lemon, and grape. But with the lime, theres only 8????

Over the last month, The three packages I have bought each had the same amount per color.

Can anyone explain this phenomenon
