Oh hell, the Chiefs are going to need more than just 2 DT's. They also need a CB, OT, C, WR, MLB.

our scheme require the MLB to make quick reads and to be very fast. He has to play the run and also drop deep and cover the tightends and receivers in the deep middle.

we can't have a power MLB .... we need one that is great in coverage.

I think Bell would make a good DT. He's slow but he's strong and he only needs to put on another 10 or 15 lbs to play on the interior line.

This thread brings up something I was wondering about the other day: Based solely on numbers, why haven't we tried to re-sign either Reed or Edwards? Neither was great, unless compared to Mr. Dickie-Do's himself, Sims, but the DT's are supposed to be thin in the draft this year. Don't we need bodies, period?

and yes this means we are changing schemes. Herm is letting Gun go wild on the D and switch to a 3-4, with blitz packages every down

Well, if arent able to get what we need, we may have to change up a little bit. It may not happen, but we need someone there, and chances are Mitchell is getting a big pay day from someone. That leaves the Chiefs in a lil bit of a bind.
