What this shows me is cowardice. I think he would probably beat me to a pulp as well. I am much older and he outweighs me by at least 100 lbs.

I don't know that it's being an internet tough guy and I'm guessing they knew he was a cop. But, still... I've intervened in situations before like this (much smaller scale) and would like to think that I wouldn't just watch that fatass beat away on the girl.

If he were in the line of duty and subduing someone, it would be different. This dude was drunk and pissed.

Plus you have to think long and hard before laying hands on a cop no matter the situation. If it isn't video taped the cop wins in court every time.

People react differently and if you have time to grab your cell phone and chat on it like the guy did (I hope he was calling 911), then you have time to jump in and break it up.

They onlookers were probably a bit lit up and both numb and stunned seeing that a 270 lb guy slugging a 100 lb woman. That guy was mad-drunk. Messing with guys like that is like trying to pull a salmon out of a grizzly's mouth.

Yeah, it pisses you off seeing noone immediately step in, but what happened, happened. Now the bully has to suffer some bad consequences.
