http://www.piperlime.com/browse/prod...scid=437096012 I feel very sexy in heels. Plus I'm quite short. Try to have a good night at work. |

Just by looking at them, wouldn't they be easier to wear than heels?

Damn. Where are you guys from?!
As the unofficial CP ambASSador to advertising, let me clarify. THough I have not seen the commercial of which you speak, I can only imagine, the "courage" it takes for a 5' 10" woman to wear wedge heels, is, they make her at least 3 inches taller. I worked with a tall woman who wore nothing but flats, not wanting to accentuate her already "tall" stature. But then another woman, just as tall but looked like Charlise Theron only hotter, and wore heels on top of that. SCHWING!!!! Maybe this would be more relatable: It would be brave for a size 16 woman to wear a fitting dress. See, overweight women tend to wear loose clothes, to hide their figure. Those wedges on the first post are alright, not very imaginative. They kind of look like nurse shoes. You need to search online for cork wedges or (even more current) wood wedges. Ge them with patent uppers and you're in business. Why? Every woman deserves to be put on a pedestal. |

BTW, I would have crashed my car yesterday if I hadn't been driving straight when I heard this commercial on a local sports radio station. I only remember the first two sentences: "Do you see all those people around you with bigger houses and nicer cars? Do you want to be happy like them?" This is all I remember because at that point my brain locked up and ceased all functioning. I had to do a cold boot just to get it back. Had a child run out in front of my car they would have been toast. |
Speaking of shoes, anyone seen the new "Starburys".
They are $15 sneakers on sale at Steve & Barry's. http://www.starbury.com |
