So get rid of DC and ban all political discussions? Just political discussions you disagree with?

How gay.

What would you propose be done? Let the place unravel? I'm sure you've got somewhere else to go talk Chiefs, right?

Actually, this has been discussed ad nauseum.

The ignore function DOES NOT work.

That wouldn't be good enough because the goal is to get rid of her. The sad part of it is that no one has really explained how she's any worse than anyone else. She doesn't use abusive language and her posts represent legitimate discussion-starters. And while some easily riled people are offended by her style, I can think of a few other posters who have been far more offensive. And I'm sure there are a lot of people who post far more frequently on DC than on the football side.

This is just a way for setting the stage so that (what she says) can piss a few more people off and then they'll try banning her again later. Seriously, htismaqe talks about this being a football board but acts like it's a sewing circle with a bunch of whining gossipy fems.

If you don't want people posting only on the DC board, get rid of it. Get rid of all of the subforums except for the football forum. That way we're all held to the same standard instead of conveniently pulling out a rarely used policy when you want to get rid of someone for OTHER reasons.

I'm not sure people should be banned for not being "productive members." I, for example, started frequenting the board in 2002 and have only posted some 200 times since then. I have friends who have been here longer and posted fewer than 100 times.

How productive is productive enough? Is there a specific requirement for degree and quality of passion for football to be allowed on this board?

This is stupid. Leave her alone.

It's quite consistent.

"Productive" has nothing to do with having too few posts.

"Productive" has everything to do with posting 20K political threads to 20 football threads.

It's NOT stupid, or maybe you just failed to notice what's going on here.

Once again you demonstrate a complete lack of understanding of the situation.

You're the very definition of whiny, gossipy fem.

Give me an example because right now you and a couple other macho men are looking like the whiny fems.

Seriously, this is like a turd in the punch bowl .......... Wasn't a smooth move Parker.

Some people can just ignore without having a button to click.........

ROFL

You are a complete moron, aren't you?

I voted NOT TO BAN her.

FIFTY PERCENT of the board's membership DID.

I'm offering her amnesty and you want to argue with me about it?

As for examples, I gave them in the other thread. She's destroyed at least 2 message boards before this one. I'm sure you'll have no problem finding a place for your liberal circle jerk when this one is gone, too.

SHUT UP.

wilas101 04-19-2007 07:14 AM

I'll admit to not knowing the reasons this has come up. I very rarely every stray into the DC section. It doesn't interest me and there are plenty of a**holes in the lounge. I don't need to look for them anywhere else.

Are her posts pissing people off because she's flip flopping on issues JUST to piss people off or do they just not like her point of view?

Can't make everyone happy.

Sorry, but that's the nature of the business.

What I find funny is that DENISE has embraced this wholeheartedly.

As a temporary solution, I think that's a reasonable compromise.

I, for one, would vote for that qualified ban, while I voted against the other. :)

Exactly. See my previous post.

This action is consistent with how this has been dealt with in the past. Nothing more, nothing less.

I didn't see that - but I do have new found respect for your position, and your decision. It sucks because no matter what you do, people will bitch. Usually the same people, too.
