Problem is......alot of teams won't wanna pay the 7 mill, and if he's unwilling to renegotiate with them he almost picks where he goes....

Like Moss did by being willing to change for the Pats but not other teams.

Okay besides Miami and possibly the Vikes who would trade for him? Detroit selected Stanton and has Kitna for a one year stop gap. The Browns took Quinn and have Frye.

It's more than likely take Miami's 6th or 7th or release the guy. Miami played hard ball.

That would be funny. Get Cleveland on the phone.

Or just keep Trent and let him compete for his job. I for one would like to see him start for us again... if he's OK.

True you might as well let the Browns finish the job on the Chiefs this draft. :)

Yep, trade him for a pack of Bud Light as long as the fish don't end up with him.

History tells me we picked Blackledge, they picked Marino.

Nobody other than Miami is going to trade for Green because he has a 7.25 million base salary.

Trent holds all the cards as has been stated earlier. If I were the Dolphins I would not give anything for him. The Chiefs will release him and then he will go to Miami. The only thing the Dolphins gain by giving up a draft pick now is that they get Green earlier. Trent can pick and choose who he will renegotiate for and it appears Miami is the only one he will consider.

This is what Rotoworld said this morning:

Trent Green-QB- Chiefs Apr. 29 - 10:18 am et

The Dolphins reportedly aren't enamored by the Chiefs' lowered asking price for Trent Green of a second-round pick to a fourth-rounder.

Still, the sides want to get a deal done on Sunday, so they should be able to work something out. The 'Fins could offer their sixth-rounder in addition to multiple seventh-rounders because they currently have three.

Does this mean that the Fins will give up a 6th AND multiple 7ths?

There's no reason we HAVE to release him. Sure, it would make sense if we did since we want to move on and let Croyle get some reps, but we won't be over the cap if we hold on to him.

At this point, I am fine with keeping Green this year and letting him ride the pine. This has been a ridiculous ordeal with him thinking he can orchestrate where he wants to go.

Team chemistry is going to be a bitch when Green outplays everyone at QB but then gets bumped for Brodie because Herm wants to make a youth movement.

Did CP go on record that he would take a 4th rounder for Trent? We have no idea if it was even being considered. As far as I can tell we wanted a 2nd rounder or we were going to keep him.

As I said in another Thread we will need next year's draft and another round of free agency to fill our needs. If we're lucky we'll have Top 10 or 15. AND we'll have pick in every round!

The Dolphins didn't cough up a 4th for Green (a decision that I commend them for).

Carl will not release him and let the Dolphins get him for free.
