Actually, no.

In our current defense, I don't think it makes sense to have your highest-paid guys be CB's. The middle of the defense is far more important in the Cover 2.

We'd be better spending our 1st rounder on a MLB, unless we're gonna take an offensive player.

Thanks coach. I admit I understand the intricacies of O a little better than D.

Chad Henne sucks. Not much of a pro prospect at all, really. He has the arm and size but very little else.

I agree 100% I have watched him his whole career, he is mediocre at best.

Henne reminds me of Elvis Grbac.

I agree but the short sited national media nerds seem to disagree and thought we should have reached for a project like Staley.

We'll likely be picking top 15 or maybe even 10 next year and we'll be positioned perfectly for a top OT.

the Talking Can 05-03-2007 05:35 PM

be nice to have a top 10 pick and have our choice of OT....

regardless, I'm glad we passed on an OT this year and now can focus on a much stronger class next year...or should I ask Whitlock about that first?

I don't see alot of offensive guys on that list that instantly scream out "NFL player". For example, Brohm is a great college QB, but there's question marks surrounding whether or not his skills translate to the NFL game.

I've seen Brohm play , and he has what it takes. Reads extremely well, and is very accurate. He won't have the Herculian weight room numbers that Quinn has posted, but he has the intangibles that makes players great when it goes into crunchtime.

If we don't have a good year then well we have to take Sam Baker with the first pick.........

Even though he's not listed up there I believe Sedrick Ellis would be a monster in our defense.

Going into next year's draft I see OT, LB, and CB as are big needs. Stud LT, LB to replace Donnie Edwards, and CB to replace Law & Surtain.

Croyle needs to make a statement this season. One way or the other. If he is good, we are in business already. If he is not so good, Brohm should be the target in the first round.

LB - Dan Connor and CB - Justin King...does anyone think that King's off campus fight is going to be as big of a deal as drunk driving or drug problems?? I don't know if I would consider that a character liabilitiy

htismaqe 05-04-2007 07:49 AM

Jake Long would be a nice addition...

Chiefnj 05-04-2007 09:00 AM

Okam and Dorsey will solidify the interior of any line by taking up space and two blockers.

Laurienitis is a heck of LB.

I had no idea what you were talking about, so I had to google it.

I wonder if teams will think there is a risk of roids?
