I'll go ahead and let you guys in on the scoop. After many hours of negotiations with Trent he has decided to retire so that he may pursue his long term dream as a boar semen collector. He said in a statement this morning that it's what he's really wanted to do his whole life and that he has a natural talent for his new career. "Why would I want to be throwing a football around and running for my life when there's so many boars that need to be collected". said Trent. Carl knew that Trent had been secretly collecting boar semen during his off season but never confronted him with it. But now the cats out of the bag and it's time to move on. Trent said "I've been waited to blow a wad up a sows vaginer my whole life and now I can do it and feel good about it"

Maybe it is to announce this...

Eric Hicks signs with Jets
By RANDY COVITZ The Kansas City Star
Former Chiefs defensive end Eric Hicks signed as a free agent with the New York Jets today.

Hicks, who will be 31 in June, spent nine seasons with the Chiefs before he was released on May 1. Hicks was a seven-year starter for the Chiefs and ranks fifth on their all-time sack list with 44.5, and a career-best 14.0 in 2000.

Hicks originally signed with the Chiefs in 1998 as a rookie free agent out of Maryland. He appeared in 128 games for the Chiefs, making 104 starts.

What? No more joint press releases that everything is amicable?? Say it ain't so.

I'd secretly love for him to retire and just stick it to Carl. Come on, all we were ever going to get was a 7th round pick, a scrub/NFLE/practice squad player that wouldn't pan out anyway.

Seeing Trent get the last laugh and Carl get shown up both by him and the Dolphins would be awesome.

Stop giving the enemy ammo. They are going to use this exact pick to show Carl how valuable their offer is. You know the Phins GM is a troll.

Just curious on the retirement thing. How was Seau able to retire from the Dolphins, and then a week or so later join the Patriots? Did the Dolphins still hold his rights at that point and have to release him? Is this something Green could do as well?

I do not think a 7th for Green is fair. A 4 is the most fair price. Or a combination of picks and/or conditions with at least a 5th in there. iImerely was pointing out that 7th is not an automatic failure.

My how things can change in a year.

Last year everyone was confident in Greens ability...then he get a cheap shot on him and suffers a bad concussion.

Now everyone who was on Greens side is against him.

Bunch of band-wagoneers

The Patriots got Randy Moss for a 4th.

You think we can get a 4th for a 36-year-old QB who didn't play well last year coming off a serious injury? You're nuts.
