The Tulsa "Golden Hurricane" LMAO rivalry was one I looked forward to most. Jumpy Gaethers was the last WSU player to make the NFL, the uncle to the asswipe that took out Trent Green.

Jumpy is a pretty good guy, and one of the most imposing physical specimens I have ever met in my life. One of the best athlete's I ever knew was Prince McJunkins - guy's body fat percentage was measured in negative numbers, and he was a black belt in Tae Kwan Do as well. There were a lot of good players down there, wanting to play for Coach Jeffries, but unfortunately, many had academic issues. There were good times, like when Don Dreher caught the touchdown pass vs. KU, and when we beat K-State right before the program got cancelled.
Fond memories of what it was like back in the day.
