Real football teams have balance.

For a HC to come out and say scoring 30 points a game isn't real football is sickening. I would love to see a stat of teams that have scored 30 points over the years and what their winning % was.

Scoring 21 points a game is making zero margin for error with a defense. You have to play defense, but having a great scoring offense never hurt either.

I'm not even sure Herm has ever understood that if you score MORE points then the other team you win the game.

That's EXACTLY what he's trying to say.

Just like the comment about outscoring the opponent on the road. Everyone knows what he meant (you don't want to get into a shootout.....ball control, keep crowd out of it) yet everyone rags on him.

Like no one here has ever said something that came out different than how they thought they were saying it......

Hmmm. Brain hurting.

If the defense is playing well, the offense has the ball more often and in better field position. If the offense has the ball more often and in better field position, the likelihood of scoring points increases, does it not?

Yeah, All those damn superbowl champions that blew out there opponents or believed in winning the game by scoring too fast and too often...

This is another reason while Herm is teh suck!

Just for the record, we scored 30 or more points in just over 31% of our games last season. 31. Clearly, Herm's comments are some kind of subliminal message about Priest Holmes, but I'm not sure what it is.
