Let's be honest, what is the bigger story, the chargers were 14-2 last year and have lost 3 straight. The media is in love with LT and roidman.
We won't get any respect until we do some more damage. It might be best to fly under the radar and to be honest, we still have lots to prove. That was an excellent step in the right direction. If we can win the next couple games at home, we will be in good shape, and fugg the media. |
By the way, I'm taking a shit right now as I post this...I think I'll name it Hootie. I'm sure he's passed through several asses in his day.
|
ESPN blows, but that is beside the point. They know who our starting QB is. Maybe if we could win a playoff game at least every 5 years or so, we'd get some kind of respect.
|
Who gives a shit. Let the Chiefs do their talking on the field. After a few more wins, the media will notice...
|
I'm reserving judgment until I see how they follow up the 30 point arena football game we played yesterday.
If the offense looks halfway consistent, I'll say that they looking better than I expected. |

Yeah I agree with you on this point, let us be the under dogs and prove everyone else wrong. |
How well did the sports illustrated cover work out, as well as Jaworski's "KC Chiefs Superbowl Binder".
What scares me is the Patriots and Colts, they look unbeatable at times. |
Jacksonville is another tough match-up for us...
If we win that game, we're for real, plain and simple. |
I agree with Hootie. But I can understand how the national media think that the Chief's were going to be bad. Their bad showing in the playoffs, QB controversy in spades, LJ late into camp, a whole new Offensive line, trouble at DT position and last years history of seeing the team as a run team only.
All those questions were addressed. They were untried at the beginning of the season. Four bad showings on offense and only flashes on defense during preseason gave no information as to how things might gel. You want this to build slowly and diligently. And yes a road victory in the Division IS big. I see improvement in the run game as I am seeing more runs not between Guard and Center but between Tackles and Guard. I like the trend and with Kennison returning to the line up suddenly you have two very good WR and the best TE in the passing game. |

What a win will do for a team... a couple of weeks ago there was a list a mile wide, and now we're asking 'what is their weakness?' The biggest jump in the power rankings last week was Jacksonville from 17 to 10, which is questionable enough. Wouldn't everyone here be all 'WTF, lol?" if the Eagles had jumped into the top 10 because they blew out Detroit? The Chiefs moved up a few spots for beating Minnesota, and we'll probably move up 6 or 7 spots for beating the Chargers, which would put them around 20. If we're 4-2 going into the bye, I think we will be deserving of some respect... but until then, we're where we should be.. bunched in with the large group of questionable teams. And BTW, making the playoffs isn't really an accomplishment anymore.. I heard someone yesterday saying he wouldn't be surprised if a 7-9 team made it in this year, and I wouldn't be, either. |

Wouldn't be surprised...why don't you name the last 7-9 team to make the playoffs.. GO GO GO |

That division is abysmal. |

But yeah, MAYBE that division will see an 8-8 champ...but I think (as long as Delhomme gets healthy) either the Panthers or Bucs will win 9 or 10 games by default. Plus, the Falcons aren't as bad as they looked the first few weeks... Now the Saints, I don't know what to think about that team... That's a shocker to me... |
