Rest up LJ.

Yep, it wont accomplish a damn thing...let him heal up 100%, rest his overused legs some more, bring him back to a new O line, a new OC & hopefully with a new attitude in 08.

Rest up LJ, and be prepared to share carries next year if you're not gonna try.

And yes..it's gonna be an empty house. The game today was pretty sad. I went to the Cincy game earlier this year and was a bit surprised at the number of empty seats..then I went to the Broncos game and it was about the same...but today was pretty damn bad.

Were you at the game, Mr. GonzoRox88?

I just can't say it enough.......as hard as LJ ran the last couple of years......he just has NO explosion this season and lacks the ability to run through tackles because he doesn't have a head of steam when he is running laterally along the offensive line.

That was the 31st (?) rush D.

I'm excited about him... but it's pretty early.

I agree. However, we faced the donkeys a few weeks back when they were 32nd against the run, (I still believe they are ranked in the bottom half of th league against the run), and yet we couldnt do shit against them. We have the 30th ranked rush defense, so its not like we're somthing special... Smith showed me one thing today, he can make somthing out of nothing. On most of his runs, he easily gained 2-3 to even 4 yards extra when it looked like he was going to be stopped. He runs with LJ power, and preist holmes elusiveness. He can make guys miss. especially when he got in space, he ripped off 18-19 yard runs mainly because he made guys miss him once he got past first contact. hes fast too. The OL blocked fairly well, but this guy made them look better.

This was the first game I have seen since 05, where our running game was ripping off 5 yards a pop, with ease.

However this was the Raiders' run defense.
As I said in the game thread, a 300lb lineman could rush for a 100 yards against the Raiders.
Lets hope he does half as well the rest of the year as he did today.

Our linemen would make good running backs..they seem to be really good at making defenders miss...

Upper level..over the endzone..Section 334. I've never seen so many club level seats deserted. Their were plenty of lower level seats empty, but not in proportion to the club level..and the upper level was pretty decimated as well.

Awesome. Congratulations.

Can you tell me from your perspective what kind of pressure Croyle was under today?

Good point about the goats, Mr. Oh Snap. Kolby has to have something in the tank to do what he did today. How much is yet to be determined, but he performed better than LJ has in all his "starts".

He was under too much pressure. Terry might as well not exist..that whole right side is a joke. Some of his throws were simply off target and he missed a wide open reciever in the endzone and rolled to the other side of the field. Couldn't see who, it was at the other end.

The Raiders put pretty consitent pressure on him, our line couldn't sustain a pass block, and did decent in the running game, but Kolby made his own plays for the most part.

I was really sick at how much penetration they were getting, Brodie had to get outside of the pocket way too often. I know our line is bad..and I've seen them twice this year before and reconfirmed that. This 3rd time, against the Raiders..they were especially unsatisfactory.

Brodie made mistakes on his own without pressure, he had some high throws, some wide throws, some ill-advised throws, and Tony was open way too much for him not to take advantage of him, but the line really could have gave him a lot more help.

I was there, Mr. FAX, and can tell you that from my perspective, Croyle was under a ridiculous amount of pressure.

Terry and McIntosh were nothing more than speed bumps.

Brodie made some good plays to avoid the rush and roll out.

OL was awful today, and that's being generous.
