Just bring in a bunch of fast, shifty college KRs as UDFAs. Let them all fight it out in camp/preseason. I don't like the idea of spending a pick on a guy with the sole expectation that he's going to be a KR specialist and that's all.

I'm really not overly concerned with drafting a return man, it's nice to have but we have much higher priorities than that this year.

And having a real threat to take one to the house could really help an offense that'll have a lot of growing to do. Maurice Price was a dangerous returnman in college if memory serves? I'd like to see us give he and Webb a shot at holding that job down. |
What ever happend to Ean Randolph? I was high on him returning last year.

There will be a couple three guys there who can help upgrade your WR spot AND produce on Special Teams... |
I'm not big on returnman playing WR also. Dante Hall kinda dropped off when we started using him at WR more, I think its happening to Hester too.
|
I consider those kind of luxury positions if you are going to take one that high...

I thought we'd surely see Webb last year before that idiot Drummond came to town... |

If a guy is the #3 WR and happens to be a decent return guy, bonus. But #1 or #2 I agree I would hope we dont have to use our top WR for return. It would be nice if we could use them in the offense.

My biggest disappointment in special teams (aside from a good kicker) was the return game. Coverage seems to be more about scheme and preparation, whereas, the return game relies a lot on the man returning the kick, IMO. |
