Yea they are playing different, they are scared shitless of her.......

I have no problem with a girl playing basketball with the boys.......about the only sport I have a problem with a girl competing with the boys, is wrestling....as an ex high school wrestler I know first hand, it can get a little intamite on the matt......plus I know of a couple of moves wich would not be as effective on a girl as it is on a boy due to the lack of chestnuts......

You could still check her oil. :thumb:

When she goes to highschool however, there is no way she belongs on a men's team.

If she can keep up, why not?

If they don't have a comparable girls program, then they need to either start one or let her play up. I personally think that that parents of the boys team that complained are raising little beotches.

Maybe she's a Puerto Rican 12 year old girl who is actually 23?

The only thing I'll say is the girl is probably a good 8+ inches taller than the next tallest person in her class.

what???? where do you live? they must make them small there!!
my daughter is 12 in the 7th grade here in maryland and there is 9 boys in her grade taller and atleast 4 girls that are taller.
of course the high school they will go to has been to the state tournament final four like 8 times in 10 years, lol

She's playing against 12 year old boys...they're prolly popping wood every time she brushes up next to them.

"Coach, I gotta come out, it hurts down there again."

"Dammit, that's like the 4th time, sit down and put some ice on it again."

Unfair advantage indeed.

We'll see how they'll react when they're being sued for a violation of Title IX.

like i said, it's not uncommon around here. for a kid in the 8th grade especially a girl is not unlikely, girls usually stop get any taller when they are around that age. If this girl is really 6'1 she should be smaller than atleast 5 of the boys on the team. If ur not 5'11" or taller you would be cut in this area from boys high school basketball.

I guess if there is NO girls teams in the area then yes, maybe.. And is this for the school or league ball?? League ball does not follow highschool and college rules for equality..

I have been wrong before but I expect the parents have more to do with this BS than the boys.

It has been happening since the 2nd grade and now they decide she is not a player that they treat the same way?

At 12 years old?

I call BS, maybe they need to make them all not losers and not keep score.

:Peace:ROFL

From the way I see my nieces and nephews act, no.. Kids are a lot less physical with girls in that way.. Now verbally is another story..

And I agree with the parents having more to do with it.. They are the ones that are teaching the values to em..

Nowadays, you are probably right. But when I went into the 7th grade, I was maybe 5'4"/5'"5. But, when I came back for 8th grade, I was 6'0" - and the tallest person in my class. So, maybe I'm just picturing the kids I went to school with.
