Check out the fumble causing, teeth rattling hits by Hawthorne at the 2:20 mark and the 3:00 mark..

Looks like he could be the next Jesse Haynes or Brian Shay. Woot!

I've seen both of the Seahawks' preseason games and Hawthorne has really stood out. I'm jealous.

I always liked Forsett in college and am glad he will get a shot with you guys. Unfortunately, it looks like my guy, Joe Newton, has no shot of making it. :(

2007 Called and they want their joke back. How is Chris Leak doing?

Justin Forsett is going to be a stud. Good move on the Hawks part. Here's to my 2nd team making 1 final run under Mike Holmgren. :toast:

Isn't he working for Church's Chicken in Charlotte?

Not really in the category of draft steals, but i read that Troy Smith will be the starter in Baltimore.

Maybe he does turn out to be a decent NFL QB?

Not to be a homer, but his only real knock was his height. He is a very good scrambler and is very accurate.

Pablo 08-20-2008 01:21 PM

The Seahawks drafted a FB..lol.

I thought he got a real bad rap during his combine. He has the tools to do well.

Hawthorne really lays the lumber. The game I watched Duckett couldn't hold on to the ball.
Surprised to see the Seachickens go after another FB. What's wrong w/ Shawn A.'s buddy?

Mack Strong? He had an injury (neck, IIRC) and was forced to retire last year. They need a decent FB.

He's wearing a National Championship ring and hoisting a MVP Trophy. ;)

All that doesn't mean a thing when your in the Big League brother ;).

El Jefe 08-20-2008 02:24 PM

Also, if he is still hoisting the trophy he is a loser, because LSU is the Champ right now, but since he cant cut it in the league he will live on his past glories.

Who cares about the big league when it relates to college pride? In college when the two were on the same playing field Troy Smith got walloped, smacked and exposed. Chris Leak was a Champion and MVP. Case closed. There is no UF or OSU in the NFL.
