Ride the coattails of Mindcrime? Empire was a great album also. I like a few songs after that one, but some of their best stuff was before Mindcrime.

Edit: I take that back. Empire wasn't just great it was off the charts. I just spun it up and I'd forgotten how many kick ass songs were on that cd. Truly amazing!! It just doesn't seem like they make bands like that anymore. When was the last time you heard an album were just about every song on it kicked ass? The new Disturbed album is the only one I can think of in recent memory. If you like good old fashioned heavy metal that's a must have.

To me, Queensryche was the Pink Floyd of the 80s, and if they aren't the best group from that era, they're definitely near the top.

And yes, they are much better than Tesla.

Jumpin' Jesus, they aren't near the top. Ozzy, Maiden, Priest, Sabbath, Motorhead, Metallica, ACDC, Dio. Hell, even Van Halen, Mercyful Fate, Megadeth, Anthrax, Slayer, GnR were better.

I know it's a matter of Opinion, but come on man. I'm a fan of everyone of those bands, but Queensryche is most certainly in that mix.... better IMHO
