To a guy like me (I grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, now I'm in Phoenix) that is some funny stuff.
I had no idea anybody but English speaking white people worked at McDonalds and all other eateries, restaurants, etc.
It wasn't until I moved out that I discovered the joy of non-english speaking chartacters at the drive thru. It is a rare treat if you actually get what you order.
I hope the people you meet are as nice as all the Iowans I know.
Have a tenderloin and cold beer for me would ya'?
