Definitely best of luck to you.

You got it dude. Hopefully things get worked out soon.

Thanks, guys. Owner didn't poo-poo the idea of compensation. She called this morning and he wants her to put the proposal on paper.

As far as I'm concerned, the contract states 30 days with written notice of termination. The cost goes up the longer this takes because of lost wages. She still hasn't received written notice.

At some point, I'm not certain she doesn't go in to work and tell the boss she's working until she's been given written notice, as the contract implicitly states.

****ers don't know who they're dealing with. If I have to get a lawyer, we'll find one who will work on a contingency. At this point, I am perfectly willing to piss away half the money owed to prove a point.

Frazod 11-21-2008 10:58 AM

Best of luck. I suggest you lawyer up immediately.

I'll bet she lands on her feet just fine. You're living in a thriving community. Rich people will still vacation despite the economy. The people who will skip a golf vacation during this economy are the people like me who couldn't afford the luxury of spa services anyway.

I should also suggest to ask a lawyer or something, if you get the feeling that she was just fired because of that she was looking for another job. Plus like you said, there is no written notice.

IMHO, it's wrongful termination.`

I don't know if it matters or not, but was she looking for work on the company's time? Either way sorry to hear it. Hang in there.

No. On her day off.

Not a wrongful termination. She's not an employee. The only thing we're dealing with here is breach of contract. Either party can terminate the contract for any reason with 30 days written notice. There is no "out" in the contract for ending it prematurely with no notice.

Good vibes headed your way. Best of luck!
