Amazing considering how he got to the NFL and how he became a starter.. I bet he sends Rodney Harrison a thank you card every year.

Okay so how does that stand up with the two 1st round picks in the AFC still playing and the majority of the QB's in this years playoffs were 1st round picks?

Pulling for the Cards, but they better hope they pull the Steelers. One, because Wheisenhut was their old O.C. he knows them. And second, the Raven Defense is way nastier than anything the Cards can handle.

and that would be super sweet.

this will make the Warner/Manning league MVP debate go for longer. I remember watching a lot of sports analysts debate over Manning getting league MVP saying he shouldn't have been the chosen one.

Oh ok me too. My bad man, I'm used to being around these other douches here that pick on him for being a great guy. Kinda sad on their part.

a 5th? That would be a good deal but not so super sweet. Party boy is out of the league in 4 years IMO unless something drastically changes.

Manning was by far the MVP. Without Manning, that team wins maybe 6 games.

This man has paid his dues. I think he will be rewarded for all his hard work and his great attitude. Regardless of his faith, or yours, he is a great man that plays his hardest at all times.

Plus he is a smart ****er too!

Unless you think the exception proves the rule...

Warner has been to the SB 3 times now and been league MVP twice.
Brady has been to how many Super Bowls as a 6th round pick.

The point is that a 1st round pick is not a guarantee either way and I am so tired of being told the only way the Chiefs can get there is if they draft someone in the 3rd spot this year. I am sure we can trade names, etc all day but the point remains the same that this year we have an undrafted QB going to the Super Bowl for the third time in his career and last year we had a 6th round QB go for the 4th (?) time in his career. Nothing is written in stone the day these guys are drafted.

just putting this one the table, but without Warner the Cards would have won less than 6 games.

from everything I've read, his only problem is that he doesn't fit into the cards' offense. he fit in great when denny green was coach, but whisenhunt essentially made their first round pick (leinart) null and void by changing the offense. the results have been good (they're going to the freaking super bowl--can't bash that), but ANY chance at leinart succeeding in arizona are all but null and void.

word has it that he's been a model citizen, hasn't whined like other QBs that have had to sit in on the bench, has been a film studier/religiously attends the meetings, etc. he seems to me like a PERFECT example of a guy who needs a change of scenery. if pioli brings a guy in that wants to run a WCO, we'd be reeruned not to make the call and see if we can bring leinart in. ****, it's only a fifth round pick. and as much as I want to draft a QB at number three, it would free that pick up to either trade down or get the best defensive lineman/BPA.

(let's not forget that, statistically, guys that sit a few years tend to be MUCH more successful in the long run than guys that get thrown to the lions right off the bat [heh--thrown to the DETROIT lions... I made a funny])
