It's looking more every day like you will be keeping Herm this year, no?

PPG - KC: 29th
PPG - Det: 32nd Reach for the stars Detroit! |

My god, retaining Herm would be bad enough. Retaining Herm AND Gunther? I'd have to re-evaluate my opinion of Pioli's sanity.
|
Why wouldn't you let Gun speak with Detroit especially when you have already allowed other assistant coaches to leave?
Confusion and irritation is all I can say about this bit of news. |
"But Gunther didn't get to run his defense!" - /Gun Supporter :cuss: Drop this guy, Scott!!
Maybe Pioli is wanting to let the group go all at once. Sweep them out Pioli! PLEASE!!! :grovel: |
Don't worry, Pioli's finally going to get Gun the players he needs.
|
Think outside the box. Pioli won't tip his hand, nor will he give any other team any sort of help right now. He can still clean house. He just may not be doing it the way any of us would like it to happen.
|
The only way this can make any sense to me, is that they want to give the new HC the opportunity to fire or retain him. Just like Clark did with Herm.
|
WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????????????????????????
He Effing SUCKS DONKEY BALLS!!!!! |
It only says that they initially did. It does not say that they aren't now. I think it implies that they have given permission as of now. Also, it doesn't say when the Chiefs denied permission first. That could have been before Pioli was hired. We could have said to wait until we have a new GM.

I really think everyone should STOP FREAKING OUT!
Source: Lions were refused permission to talk to Gunther Cunningham by Tom Kowalski Tuesday January 20, 2009, 4:17 PM MOBILE, Ala. -- According to a league source, the Lions were initially refused permission to talk to Kansas City defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham about taking the same position with Detroit. |
