Maybe at slow speeds but at cruising speeds it would be easy to steer.

Should have gotten a better model too.

Ugly bike calls for an ugly model.

Riding that thing will make you look like a midget.

My thoughts exactly.

How do you put a 1/2 ton bike up on its stand without falling over and killing yourself?

Monty 01-22-2009 01:08 PM

A little heavy at 1433 pounds? My Gold Wing is about 900 pounds fully loaded and it takes everything I have to get it back up if tipped. That's too big IMO.

Agreed about the chain drive...that's gotta go.

Also, I'd love to see someone ride that thing in the Black Hills. No way that happens without a wreck.

Outsource ;)

It needs some rocket launchers on the side.

Good lord, +100” wheel base is longer than my Jeep.

I am surprised by the chain drive. The pressure that must get put on those teeth must be incredible.

What else are you going to get to hang on to it? A belt certainly won’t. A shaft big enough to handle it would be huge, in the way, and probably accompanied by a huge “jacking effect”, if you’re familiar with shaft drive motorcycles. Size 630 chains hold onto drag race applications with +1000 HP and +850 lb/ft of torque, so it one should more than handle the 500 some lb/ft this is thing making.
Notice this thing actually has two chains. One is a primary drive coming off the crank and hooking power up to the transmission.
I’m impressed with the guy that built this even if it isn’t my kinda thing.

Looks like a picture bike, not a riding bike.

Looking at the drive chain and sprocket, I wonder how many jean legs that would snag on before the owner made a guard? Better hope you don't miss the peg and get your foot caught in the sprocket.

it just looks like an uncomfortable ride. even if you could keep it up long enough to get it rolling.
(i'm still talking about the bike)

Even if I wouldn’t dare throw a leg over it, I’d still like to hear a 410 cid V-Twin fired up just once.
It probably idles at, like, 50 RPM and sounds like a cannon shot every time a cylinder fires.

morphius 01-22-2009 01:55 PM

I just can't get past the hideous cartoon tires.

The Langstrom 7 wrench can be used with the Findlay sprocket.

Radar Chief 01-22-2009 04:27 PM

I’m wondering what kind of bore and stroke he used to come up with 205 cubic inches per cylinder. The thing must have pistons the diameter of a basket ball.
