I've had a couple, and they really didn't do me much good on the interstate. The pig's are slick. They wait for you to come by before they turn the laser on, and even then it doesn't go anywhere near the "mile" range that they say it does.

I guess it did save me a couple times, and had another cop laugh at me as he was writing me a ticket.

It's really simple, and no one does it. Look at what's ahead when you're driving instead of only focusing 15 feet in front of you.

I don't know how many people speed past me long after I've already seen the cop and slowed down. They slam on their brakes right as they pass and get pulled over every time.

Sorry dude, that only works on the coppers that are visible. Some of them are pretty good at hiding around corners in forresty areas.

cops are smarter than the radar detector.......

if you actually have a car built to speed outrun them

Radar detectors: Because we all want to arrive to work 10 seconds earlier.

My radar detector saved my butt a few times traveling back and forth from colorado and nebraska. They are useful in certain situations but admittedly worthless in most city driving conditions.

You can’t outrun Motorola.

Do you like driving near people who drive like you?

Most Kansas Highways you can go up to 7MPH over the speed limit without getting pulled over. I have been up to 10MPH over and not gotten pulled over.

Last ticket I got was a 74 in a 55 in a Coca-Cola delivery truck. HiPo was at least kewl enought to down it to a 64 in a 55 so it wouldn't go on my record.

IMO with new technology you might be lucky in a group of vehicles but out in the open you are just asking to get pulled over.

20 years ago I used passport with pretty good luck.

I have a escort passport 9500ix, saves me from a ticket almost every time I travel from manhattan to KC, or go on a road trip. I haven't had a ticket since I purchased it.

I have an Escort I bought in 1974 when the speed limit change to 55. It has saved me repeatedly in those 35 years.
