Depends entirely on the PTBNL.
Perez is just another guy. He'll never get a good enough handle on this command to be a reliable closer and our minor leagues are FILLED with right handed relief options. Kinney will fill Perez's role, Motte or Todd will be our COTF. DeRosa is pretty bag against righties though, that can't be overlooked. He's a nice player, but I still think we're a bat away from contending. If by some miracle Glaus comes back, shifting DeRosa to 2b and Skip to RF (with Rasmus and Ludwick) then we may be onto something. |

curious who the "player to be named later" will be for DeRosa. now the x-Cub factor comes into play.

I know there only a handful of people on this planet that can hit major league pitching, but shit, find another one other than BRADLEY, dude is reeruned, actually he gives reeruned people a bad name

Agree with UP on both counts. As a Cubs fan I hate this trade, and what's the deal with Bradley? Is there a youtube video I need to check out, or are some people overly fascinated with baseball players who share the same last name as the Chiefs' #2 WR?(I know his persona, what's he done as a cub?)

Oh my God, Cub fans are PISSED. LIVID. FURIOUS.
It's almost cruel to mess with them over this. But I won't let that stop me. The best part is saying "Well, look at it this way, if you hadn't gotten rid of DeRosa, you wouldn't have Milton Bradley." So much more fun to do it to people in person. :fire: |

I still think Mozeliak is in way over his head, but at least he's finally looking to improve his club a little bit instead of merely building up a minor league stable of right handed relief arms. |
