remains to be seen if any of these guys will actually hit the market

L.A. Chieffan 11-09-2009 11:35 AM

none of these guys will matter

jlscorpio 11-09-2009 11:37 AM

any NT would tickle my balls at this point.

Tribal Warfare 11-09-2009 11:47 AM

Elvis Dumervil should be in the mix too

What would also be interesting is how many teams will just let guys go instead of having them stick around another year.

That is an excellent point, because if it is uncapped, the acceleration on the bonus for releasing the guy wouldn't count against the cap. So guys might get the pink slip by teams tired of waiting for them to perform...

If they oddly enough if they franchise Orton, it's very much in the realm of possibilities. On the same note their is noway NE will let go of Wilfork

If a new CBA doesn't get worked out he will be a restricted FA. As would Brandon Marshall, Kyle Orton, Chris Kuper, and Ben Hamilton.

It's pretty much a waste of time talking about the top free agents when we know the Chiefs likely won't even try to get the top free agents.

So what Patriot backup scrub are we giving 60 million to this offseason?

We all better just hope to hell the NFL and players come to a new CBA without an uncapped year.

also hope that the new CBA has a draft slotting system so top 5 draft picks are uber valuable again.

That's what I am thinking. Isn't it true that if the year is uncapped, none of these guys are likely to make it to market? Teams facing no salary pressures probably won't be very inclined to let pieces go.

Uhh Ben Hamilton has been in the NFL for 9 years so no he would not be an RFA.
