I think Vermeil actually likes Larry. He might understand him better than anyone.

Misery? Shit he wanted out of KC. He never wanted to be in KC in the first place. He hated his coaches, the city, everything about being in the Midwest. He made millions....I don't feel sorry for that SOB one bit.

lol, so he didnt get along with his coaches at Penn STate. Didnt get along with Vermiel becuase he was a white guy? Herm comes in, he loves Herm, gets hurt, starts sucking, then didnt like the way Herm called games and he didnt like the system we were running. He wanted more carries, yet he was always up there in carries. Todd comes in and LJ wanted more carries again, yet the guy was 4th in total carries before he got suspended. He didnt like his coach talked shit to him.

hmmm.... maybe Larry your the ****ing one with the problems not everyone else.

Bingo. I don't care more or less what kind of minor mistakes Eddie made. Fact is as long as you can learn from those mistakes to better onself as a person, teammate, or whatever the case it will go a long way for you. If you can do this, which Eddie did, it will ultimately determine what people remember you as. So I have nothing for respect for Eddie for being able to do this. LJ I'm not so sure will ever figure this out. I certainly hope he does, for his sake anyways.

Eddie's a good dude, one of my favorite Chiefs, very good WR for us in the Vermeil days.

The rest of the article wasn't that bad. Are you trying to sensationalize the already sensational story?
-------------------------------
“He won’t be remembered as the guy that had a couple of 1,700-yard seasons,” Kennison said.

Vermeil and Kennison agreed Monday afternoon that Johnson’s career probably wouldn’t end now that the Chiefs have released him. Some team will give him a chance. Washington might already be among the interested organizations.

They also agreed that there was a side of Johnson that few ever saw. It was the driven side, the personable side, the side that if a friend or teammate or coach ever looked at from just the right angle, they might see a running back who was, as Kennison put it, “a stand-up guy.”

“People will always remember Larry Johnson in Kansas City as the guy who was troubled,” Kennison said, “the guy who wasn’t a good guy. That’s the way fans will remember it, the way the media will remember it.

“I still say he’s a stand-up guy. He just had some issues while he was here.”

Him and Dick(Diaper Daddy) both had ok stuff to say about him, and what did they have to gain? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he's out. But all the quotes are nice.

"But all the quotes are nice."

That's the way I read it as well. Definitely taken out of context by the op.

yawn, i don't care about the side no one saw. i care about the way he represented this organization and city, and that my friends, was as a spoiled little boy, who beat women and spit in their faces. he showed that he was a cry baby, and, this might be the worst, a ****ing QUITTER!!!!!! good riddance you piece of shit, go ahead and sign with washington, you would probably fit in better with the scum on capital hill then anywhere else.
