The old Municipal Stadium field was always immaculate in December.

Grass = longer career...

Off topic, but I've been told by several old school, original fans that the wheels fell off the wagon when the team moved to Arrowhead.

Maybe the Sacred Cow is just a Sacred Cow Patty, and "addition by addition" is the way to right the Mojo.

As if we couldn't use some...

I'm superstitious like that; deal with it.:D

EXCELLENT point. I ****ing HATE that green wall. It makes the field level background look like shit, and makes the stadium look like shit.

I never understood the green walls. What place does green have in a Chiefs home venue?

It signifies all the money Clark Hunt is making while he's probably at some soccer game instead of Arrowhead/KCChiefsfan88

I just assumed they wanted contrast for the camera with all the red going on, but the standard NFL angle pretty much renders that pointless.

Get rid of that ****ing eyesore.

Yeah, 'bout time, I guess.

It's not like the only alternative is the carpeted concrete that was Astroturf.

God that was the dumbest idea ever. Texas FTFAIL!

I just assumed it was thing at that time, ie look at all the baseball stadiums with green walls. I'm suprised NFL teams haven't put ribbon boards in the endzone walls yet.

I like him too. I don't get the dislike for the guy.

Not sure but Mayor Funkhauser will be at Arrowhead tommorow there trying to get the World Cup here in Kc.

If that is the case then there probably won't be turf installed. Pro soccer players hate hate hate that stuff.

For what it's worth, I play soccer games weekly on FieldTurf and I don't see what the problem is. The surface actually feels softer/squishier than most grass fields. In fact, I think it is too squish. I feel like I'm running on sand. Also, it still gives you rugburn, unlike grass. There is no substitute for nice grass, but keeping that up in the winter (especially when it's wet and with multiple events) has to be a bitch.

Something needs to be done.

The current field can't even take the beating from 10 Chiefs games, much less the 2-3 college games it hosts every year, and the occasional soccer game.

I like his voice and enthusiasm. But my God, he mis-calls so many plays, it's aggravating.

"INTERCEPTED! And dropped."

"Tackled at the 30, forward progress to the 39."

"Tigers 3rd and 2 at the 40. Washington with the handoff, goes left, CUTS UP THE SIDELINE, moves forward and is tackled. ... It will be 4th and 2 at the 40."

I do like his "TO THE HOUSE!" calls.

I think he's better at basketball.

FWIW the Rapids play on field turf.
