Hehe, we did this back when i was a kid in alley's. Fights happened in school as well, but if they were not completed then you take it to the alley after school. haha

1st of all what's your boys personality type because every kid is different, and thus the reprimand goes accordingly.

What reprimand? The other kid started the fight.

This. He didn't throw the first punch. Maybe he earns a beer out of it

Personally, I would ask the school why your son should get a suspension, if he has the right to defend himself?

stevieray 12-02-2009 11:17 PM

...we had a coach/teacher that would have the two hooligans don the gloves...

sad that you can get mark on your school record for defending yourself...what if the kid was assaulting a girl?

schools are eighty percent oprah...do the math.

They're probably not allowed to place blame because that could hurt their feelings or some shit.

Here in Cali some schools have implimented the run and snitch policy. If you defend yourself u r automatically expelled. Been that way for awhile. There r several posters here at the planet who staunchly defend that policy like Irishgayhawk.

Very true. I've already had one of my kids suspended for defending himself. And my wife and I have already told the Principal's of each school in our town that our children will continue to defend themselves. I've also told each of my kids that if/when suspended for self defense I will not punish them in any way, and that I expect them to do it if possible.

yes, even if a kid gets punched in the face, never fights back and it is over, the both of them are suspended. Zero tolerance policy.

my nephew is hell of laid back. Its hard to even get him in a conversation. lol He's not all wild and crazy. He's a good kid. NOt the smartest kid out there, but he's a good kid and a football player. Lives and breathes football.

My DAUGHTER was jumped by two boys in elementary school who were a year older than her, they were attempting to beat her up. She fought them off and ran to the school office. The boys parents didn't complain when she wasn't suspended and their kids were, however. Imagine that.
